It's coming back to me now. After my second cup of coffee this morning the blurr of last night is painfully coming back. As I strolled down Newbury Street yesterday afternoon killing time before the arrival of the Countess and Mr. Brian,I did do some window shopping.I stopped by to see some old friends in Boston from when I lived there some years ago.I had a great lunch and then off to Copley Place and Club Cafe.
I sat with the Bartender til the arrival of Mr. Brian. We downed two Martinis by the time the Countess arrived. Then I think two more, that part is not too clear. We then sat down to dinner. Much of this was a blur. I do remember the wonderful Sea Scallops I had. Brian, I think, did pork and the Countess had steak. She had done all the turkey she could. Then all of a sudden came the creme brulee that was over the top.
By this time I was slurring my words and had a bad case of double vision.Mr Brian stuffed me into a Boston cab, said South Station, and hit the roof of the cab and I was gone. I mean really gone. After paying the cab fare, I ran to catch my ride back to Newport when I realized my wallet was missing. My first drunken thought was that it was in the cab. I called Brian to see if he remembered the cab Co. He didn't. On my ride home my cell phone rang and there was a woman on the other end who said she had found the wallet and would mail it to me. HOW WONDERFUL IS THAT!!! I had called all the banks and credit card companies so I was safe there.
So today I am so happy to have my wallet returned to me soon. But the Countess du Barry feels a little under the weather today.
All in all I had the time of my life.

Well darling, I'm glad you are upright today. I had a wonderful time with you two...again! Thinking back it's probably a good thing we didn't have dinner in Boston and wake up in Canada. The scary thing is that we considered it. Countess Bedelia was the voice of reason, which is the scary thing. I know how easy you guys are but she kept us together. Have a great weekend! *HUGS*
PS- The Shuffering Countesh Should Shimply shtop shipping shalty martinish at shuch eshtablishmentsh.
Mr. Brian is right....we are dangerous together!
Take two aspirin and drink a lot of water today. NO MARTINIS!!
Mama told me not to go...
With that kind of luck, you might as well had a couple more martinis.
My favorite part was when you telephone me and all three of you were talking into the phone at once.
It IS, however, one way to ward of the cold weather.
